All the Bright Places

"'The cadence of suffering has begun '- Cesare Pavese

pieces."

Theodore Flinch perfectly described how I finished after reading this book. I don't even know if I am able to write as I usually do on this one, because just thinking about it has me on the verge of tears (seriously). Who would have thought that such a simple and pretty cover would hide a book that destroying ? As always (I think you're starting to get it now) this book is deep. Not in a "philosophy of the 16th century" way, but in a "God I understood the meaning of life" way.

The tragic story of two beautiful souls who saved each other, or at least tried, with just enough love and joy. If you are between 10 and 90 years old, you should definitely read it. The name 'Violet' might never have the same meaning after.

Sorry, that's it for today, I'm really starting to cry now. To compensate, here are some extra quotes that resume the story pretty well (spoiler alert !) :

"You are all the colors in one, at full brightness"

"We do not remember days. We remember moments."

"I remember her hand in mine and how that felt, as if something and someone belonged to me"

"You saved my life Theodore Flinch. So why couldn't I save yours ?"

"You have been in every way all that anyone could be, if anyone could have saved me, it would have been you"
