The Perks of Being a Wallflower
"And in that moment, I swear we were infinite"
I told you I was going to talk about this book, it didn't take me too long.
As you already guessed, I fell in love with this book. The main reason, among the amazing writing skills of Stephen Chbosky and his incredibly endearing characters (really I can't even choose a favorite one), is that I recognize myself very much in the story of Charlie. He thinks too much, fears too much, loves too much; but never feels enough. He doesn't understand his own feelings and doesn't fit anywhere even though he has everything to be happy. He falls in love with a girl who spends her life falling for the wrong guy (and who's accessorily the friend of his girlfriend). He is a mess, but a beautiful one.
The plot twist of this book had me crying, but I won't be the one spoiling it for you my friend. Remember when I said "Looking for Alaska" is one of those books you wanna re-read for the first time over and over ? "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" isn't one of those, it's the kind you just want to re-read even if you already know the story by heart.
